Hnahringkhu YC beat Kapaam DC 2-1 in Chandel Super Division League opener

Imphal, July 20 2022: Hnahringkhu Youth Club edged past Kapaam Development Club 2-1 in the opening match of the ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division Football League Tournament at Liwa Sarei village ground today.

The Super Division Football Tournament is being organised by District Sports Association Chandel and 7 teams clubbed into two groups will be competing for the top honours.

Hnahringkhu YC started positively and enjoyed a 1 -0 first half lead via RD Kolni goal in the 34th minute ana JS Alower hit the decisive goal in the 54th minute after Kapaam DC had eaualised courtesy Lian goal in the 43 minute.

It may be noted that Hnahringkhu YC, Kapaam DC and Liwa Khullen will be competing for two top places from Group A for the semifinal berths.

In the meantime, four teams- Anbilish TFC, Tampi Football Club, Liwa Sarei Youth Club and New Wangparel Youth Club will be competing in Group B competition for the other two semi-final slots.

Tomorrow, Anbilish TFC will play New Wangparel Youth Club in the Group B opener from 12.30 pm before Tampi FC face off -Liwa Sarei Youth Club from 2 pm .
