YAC thump SDC by 7 wickets as SHADOW beat KCDO in MHCA Plate Tournament

YAC handed out a 7-wicket thrashing to SDC in the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 at Lairenjam Public Ground on Friday.
Electing to bat first, SDC managed a modest total of 106 in 31.4 overs, with N Rajiv (28) and Aditya Thingnam (17) making the only notable contributions in an otherwise lackluster innings.
YAC's bowlers dominated the proceedings, with Abocha Laishram leading the charge by claiming three wickets.
Singhajit Sharma, Oinam Kiran, and Indrakumar Wayenbam took two wickets each, while Huidrom Guneshwor added one to complete an impressive team effort.
In response, YAC chased down the target in just 12.4 overs, losing three wickets along the way.
Bhopendra Mangang starred with an unbeaten 55, ably supported by Nehru Thokchom (21) and Abocha Laishram (14), ensuring a comfortable finish.
In another fixture, SHADOW defeated KCDO by three wickets in a closely contested match.
KCDO, opting to bat first, were bowled out for 119 in 30 overs.
SHADOW's bowling unit excelled, with Md Aziz Khan and Jotinkumar Meitei picking up three wickets apiece.
Loyumba Soibam chipped in with two, while Arubam Goshan and Sagatpam Telheiba took one wicket each.
Chasing 120, SHADOW reached the target in 30 overs, with three wickets in hand.
Md Aziz Khan anchored the innings with a superb 68, while Arubam Goshan contributed an unbeaten 31, securing a vital win for their team.
