Nine title matches decided on penultimate day of State Open Badminton Championship

Imphal, August 13 2022:
Nine singles final matches across different age groups were decided in the 66th State Open Badminton Championship 2022 on Saturday at MBA Indoor Stadium, DM College campus.
Leimapokpi Dian Devi (IWDBA) won the U-19 girls' singles event after beating Moirangthem Priya Devi (IEDBA) 21-8, 20-22, 21-13 .
Hemam Malemnganba Singh (BDBA) outplayed Kwairakpam Amarjit Singh (BDBA) 21-13, 21-14 in the final of the U-17 boys' singles event, while Konsam Gunjan Devi (IEDBA) defeated Leonie Tayenjam 21-17, 16-21, 21-19 to win the U-17 girls' singles event.
Vemai Kyoveio (SDBA) pulled off a 21-18, 16-21, 21-9 victory over Shaikhom Gung Singh (TDBA) to claim the U-15 boys' singles title.
Other title winners of the day were Joel Khangembam (boys' singles U-9), Sarungbam Archana Devi (girls' U-9), Shriyan Lairenmayum (boys' U-ll), Rishav Ngangom (boys' U-13), and Chanulembi Sapam (girls' U-13) .
