Tennis: Bushan, Shanker to square off in singles final

Imphal, November 07 2024: Bushan Haobam and Shanker Heishnam set up an all-Manipur singles final at the AITA Men's 1 Lakh National Ranking Tennis Tournament Imphal 2024 after their semifinal triumphs at Officers' Club, Lamphelpat on Thursday.

Bushan outplayed Rakesh Vimal 6-4 6-1 in their first semifinal match, while Shanker made light work of Anish Prashanth 6-2 6-3 in the other semifinal, setting the stage for a highly anticipated final between the two state players.

Additionally, Bushan and Shanker claimed the doubles title, defeating S Anshuman and Anshumat 6-3, 6-3 in a commanding performance.
