Tekcham riders overpower Tentha in Polo tournament final

Imphal, January 07 2022: K Jugindro served up a five-goal salvo to steer Tekcham Polo Club-A to an emphatic 9-3 win against Tentha Polo Club in the final of the 2nd Thoubal District Polo Tournament on Thursday (January 6).After a barren first chukker, Jugindro roared into action for Tekcham, scoring a treble in the second period that also saw Tentha reduce the deficit with a goal from PBikash.

In the third chukker, Jugindro hammered home his fourth goal and teammate M Kuber found their fifth goal.

Tentha, on the other hand, managed a goal through S Naoba.

With a commanding 5-2 lead, Tekcham continued their momentum and rounded off the fourth chukker in style, pumping in four more goals courtesy of Jugindro (his fifth), M Abhigyan, S Sadananda and M Kumar (his second).

Tentha's third goal was scored by Bikash.
