YOSC, CYLC-B victorious on Day 1 of CYLC State Basketball Championship

Imphal, November 06 2024: YOSC and CYLC-B recorded victories as the 2nd CYLC State Open Basketball Championship 2024, organized by the Chingamathak Young Learners' Club, kicked off on Wednesday.

In a tightly contested match, YOSC edged past ESU with a narrow 28-26 win.

Despite trailing 4-6, 8-9, and 4-6 in the first three quarters, YOSC mounted a strong comeback in the final quarter, outscoring their opponents 12-5 to secure the victory.

In another match, CYLC-B triumphed over Bonthers with a dominant 73-50 performance.

After falling behind 12-15 in the first quarter, CYLC-B recovered in the subsequent periods, winning the second, third, and fourth quarters 18-13, 24-12, and 19-10, respectively, to clinch a convincing win.

Eleven teams, split into Group A and Group B, are competing in the boys' event.

Group A has CYLC-B, Bonthers, YOSC, CDC, KEGE and Team Ignite, while Group B comprises CYLC-A, LMY-VA, ESU, NSU and St Xavier.
