JKAM announces State team for 10th National Jeet Kune-Do C'ship

Imphal, December 05 2024: Jeet Kune-Do Association of Manipur (JKAM) has announced the names of players who will be representing Manipur at the 10th Sub-Junior, Junior and SeniorNational Jeet Kune-Do Championship due to be hosted in Shillong from December 12 to 15 .

The athletes who made it to the State team are Boycha Lourembam, Sinngamba Thiyam, Chinglemba Laishram, Raj Kumar Lanchenba, Bubusana Nongthombam, Th Victor, Leishangthem Lanchenba, Wairokpam Dhanaraj, Thiyam Punshiba, S Phalguni, Reobash Moirangthem, Y Rohit, Piter Tongbram, E Herachandra, Tomcruise Laishram, Chungkham Ningthem, S Kenedy, L Dinesh, Okram Jiban, Ningthoujam Yaiphaba, Elangbam Rishikanta, Khumukcham Manimatum, Ch Mangalsana, Sorenshangbam Rohit, Subani Makak, Nafisha Shahani and Moirangthem Linthoi Chanu.

Furthermore, Chungkham Ningthem and Moirangthem Linthoi Chanu were named as coaches for the men and women's squads besides coach Th Ranjit and technical official Md Mujibur Rahman.

Notably, Manipur's Dr M Ibomcha Singh, general secretary of JKAM has been appointed as the "Chief Judge" of the championship by the Jeet Kune Do Martial Arts Federation, India's governing body.

The State team are leaving Imphal for Shillong on December 12, said JKAM in a press release.
