Manipur assured of four boxing medals at KIYG

Imphal, February 01 2023: Manipur were assured of at least four bronze medals after four pugilists progressed to the semifinals in the boxing competition of the 5th Khelo India Youth Games at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.

Jadumani Mangdengbam, Huidrom Griviya, Th Kunjarani and L Rahul Singh prevailed in their respective categories to book their places in the semifinals.

Jadumani defeated fellow state boxer Laishram Edipak via a unanimous 5-0 verdict for his semifinal spot in the boys' 51kg category.

Griviya secured her semifinal berth in the girls' 54kg category, Th Kunjarani triumphed in the girls' 60kg category to enter semifinals, and Rahul sealed his semifinal place in the boys' 75kg category.
