MU to face KIIT University in final of Inter university tennis tournament

Imphal, October 29 2024: Manipur University advanced to the men's final at the AIU East Zone Inter University Tennis Mens & Womens Tennis Tournament, followed their victories on Tuesday at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Strong performances from Bhicky Sagolshem and Bushan Haobam led Manipur University to a 2-0 win over Ja-davpur University.

Bhicky set the pace with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory against Biprarshi Biswas in the first singles match, followed by Bushan's decisive 6-1, 6-1 win over Rounak Ghosh in the second, securing the team's spot in the final.

In the final, Manipur University will take on defending champions KIIT University, who also achieved a 2-0 win over Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University.

The men's final is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2024.In the women's final, KIIT University will play against Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University.
