KSDO, NAPSA ease to victories in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 22 2024: KSDO and NAPSA recorded commanding wins in Sunday's fixtures of the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25.KSDO overpowered SDC by 130 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Opting to bat first, KSDO set a formidable target of 265/6.Abdul Rafique anchored the innings with an unbeaten 105, supported by valuable contributions from Washim (53), Nawaz Sharif (47), and Shah Jahan (33 not out).

SDC's bowling efforts were led by N Rajiv (3 wickets), Krishnakanta Ngangkham (2 wickets), and Donny (1 wicket) .

In reply, SDC managed only 135 runs in 34.3 overs, thwarted by KSDO's disciplined bowling.

Lakimbur and Khushru Pravez excelled with three wickets each, while Shah Jahan, Shah Nawaz, and Washim chipped in with one apiece.

At Cherapur, NAPSA registered a 52-run victory against YWC.

Sent in to bat, NAPSA posted 187 in 30.1 overs.

Key contributions came from Albert Sorokhaibam (54), Monjit Loushambam (32), and lower-order batters including Bipin Ningthoujam (16) and Richard Kshetrimayum (14) .

YWC's chase faltered as they were bowled out for 135 in 27 overs.

Heisnam Boney spearheaded NAPSA's bowling with three wickets, supported by Tongbram Dhanakuber and Albert Sorokhaibam, who claimed two each.

Rocky Yumnam and Bipin Ningthoujam added one wicket each to seal the victory.
