KSC storm into Winners' Cup semis

Imphal, December 22 2021: Solomon Mangte scored five goals as KSC pummelled ASSA 9-0 on their way to the semifinals of the 25th Thangjam IBirachandra Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup 2021-22 on Wednesday at KSC Ground, Sapermeina.

Solomon Mangte made it 2-0 just before the end of the first period as Ginmihthang found his second goal in the 48th minute before Solomon further stretched their lead in the 49th minute.

H Robinson Khongsai upped the scoring ante with a 67th-minute goal and Solomon claimed his third goal in the 81st minute, with the scoreline reading 6-0.KSC were in no mood to relent and continued their scoring spree with Solomon scoring his fourth goal in the 87th minute before Haokholen Kipgen found their eighth goal.

Then Solomon wrapped up the victory after collecting his fifth and team's ninth goal in the 90th minute.
