U-16 cricket: YPHU down ESU as AKSDO outplay Model

Imphal, January 18 2022: YPHU defeated ESU by 3 wickets as AKSDO registered a convincing 5-wicket win over Model Club in the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy on Tuesday.

Put in to bat, ESU were all out for 80 in 15.5 overs.

Bishnoraj and Amrendra shone with the ball for YPHU as the duo equally shared six wickets between them, with Prince Kumar chipping in with two wickets.

In their run chase, YPHU needed 14.2 overs to achieve the target courtesy of contributions from Abdul Kiaf (19 not out), Prince Kumar (13), Birbal (10) and Eshwor.

For ESU, Simash and Donba claimed two scalps each while Abhinash and Naoba took one wicket apiece.

In the other match, AKSDO chased down a target of 138 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

In their chase, N Sanayai (32), Abert Singh (23) and L Samson (20) were key run-getters.

Earlier, Lanchenba and Kaiku took two wickets each, with Sanayai and Nirash contributing one wicket each for the winning side.
