AKSDO claim women's U-15 ODI trophy

Imphal, February 17 2025:
A half-century (58) by Bijiya Khundrakpam guided AKSDO, Khangabok to a 19-run victory over THAU, Thangmeiband en-route to clinching the title of the 2nd MNCA Women's U-15 One Day Trophy 2024-25 on Monday.
In the final held at THAU Ground, AKSDO posted 147 for eight in the 30-over game with Alish Thokchom (26 runs) being the other notable scorer as Wangkhem Nganbi Chanu and Konjengbam Nonibala Devi accounted for two wickets each.
In-spite of a fighting 45 not out by captain Robeni Usham, the THAU run chase ended at 130/8 with Alish Thokchom starring with the ball as well, claiming three THAU scalps.
Rabina Khundrakpam too took three wickets to ensure the AKSDO triumph, and land their hands on the championship trophy and cash prize of Rs 30,000.THAU had to be contented with the runners-up trophy and cash prize of Rs 20,000.Alish Thokchom was adjudged player of the final match, carrying cash prize of Rs 1000 and trophy while the Highest Wicket Taker honour (Rs 1500 and trophy) went to Konjengbam Nonibala Devi (26 wickets in nine innings); Highest Run Scorer (Rs 1500 and trophy) to Robeni Usham (scoring 442 runs in nine innings); Emerging Player (Rs 1000 and trophy) to Lucyrani Khundrakpam (AKSDO, 51 runs and nine wickets); and player of the series (Rs 2000 and trophy) was presented to Bijiya Khundrakpam (329 runs and 20 wickets) .
