MNCA Superplate tourney: YWC, CDCC win

Imphal, December 16 2024: YWC, Langthabal and CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai scripted comfortable victories over their opponents in league matched of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25 on Monday.

At Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal, half-centuries by Seram Robinson (90 runs), Jiko Sorokhaibam (65) and captain Ngangbam Bikramjit Singh (56) helped YWC to crush KASC, Khomidok by 151 runs.

Courtesy of the trio, YWC compiled 265/5 in 30 overs whole their bowlers spearheaded by Ngangbam Bishwash Singh (4 wickets) stopped the KASC run chase at 114 in 29.1 overs.

Muhammad Ali Karim (28) and WM Rajak (21) were the only notable contributors for KASC.

Meanwhile, all-round performance by Mutum Jodiba (39 runs & three wickets) ensured CDCC's 30 runs victory over FORCE, Kshetrigao at Oriental College Ground.

CDCC scored 193 all out in 35 overs with M Jodiba, Konjengbam Monish (26) and Kshetrimayum Robert (25) being the top scorers.

In reply, FORCE managed only 163 in 29 overs, with Saddam Ahmed Shah top-scoring for the team with 45 runs and Shamirul Haque contributing 29 runs.

For CDCC, M Jodiba, Khursid Alam, Mandingbam Surjit Singh and Thoudam Monet were the leading wicket-takers.
