KSDO, NAPA cruise in MNCA Plate tourney

Imphal, December 14 2024: KSDO and NAPA recorded commanding victories in Saturday's fixtures of the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25.KSDO hammered SSU by 8 wickets in their contest at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur.

SSU was dismissed for 129 in 26 overs, with key contributions from bowlers Md Riyajuddin, Md Shah Jahan, and Sangomshumpham Shah Nawaz, who each claimed two wickets, while Md Abdul Razaque added one.

For SSU, Robertson Th (30) and Anand Mangang (27) were the notable run-getters in their innings.

In reply, KSDO completed the chase in 21.4 overs, finishing at 130/2 .

Abdul Rafique played a match-winning knock of 50 not out, supported by Md Arif Khan (42), Nawaz Sharif (23), and Md Wasim (19 not out).

In the process, they lost two wickets to Ningombam Sanjoy.

NAPSA outplayed SU by 6 wickets in their meeting at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Electing to bat, SU struggled throughout their innings and were bowled out for a paltry 102 in 34.1 overs.

Only Rajkumar Pritamkumar (19), Nongmeikapam Komol (15), and Ngangbam Herojit (13 not out) reached double figures.

NAPSA's bowling attack was spearheaded by Heisnam Boney, who took four wickets, while Albert Sorokhaibam claimed three, Bipin Ningthoujam took two, and Rocky Yumnam added one.

In their response, NAPSA achieved the target in just 16 overs, finishing with 103/4 .

Heisnam Boney (29), Bipin Ningthoujam (22), Monjit Loushambam (15 not out), and Sengtung (7 not out) led the chase.

SU's Anderson Keisham claimed two wickets, while Rajkumar Pritamkumar took one.
