LYC cruise as AMOFA, JSYC split points

LYCC eased past LYGSEDA 3-1 while AMOFA and JSYC played out a 4-4 stalemate on the second day of the 2nd AMFA Cup 2022 underway at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Sk Bunghong Lamkang netted a brace in LYCC's convincing win over LYGSEDA on Wednesday.
LYCC started strongly as Bunghong put the side ahead after 14 minutes and Dilbung Renghong Lamkang made it 2-0 in the 28th minute before Thangminlun Khongsai reduced the arrears for LYGSEDA in the 2nd minute of first-half added time.
Barely one minute into the second period, LYCC restored their two-goal cushion courtesy of Bunghong's second goal and they defended stoutly to emerge dominant 3-1 winners.
Later in the day, AMOFA and JSYC shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller as both Samson and Mangginhao Kipgen scored a hat-trick for their respective sides.
In an action-packed first half, AMOFA started with a bang as Samson found the opener in the 14th minute and he went on to double the advantage in the space of two minutes.
After conceding two goals in quick succession, JSYC staged a spirited comeback with the help Mangginhao's heroics.
The JSYC striker reduced the deficit in the 26th minute and then put his team on level terms four minutes later.
But the 2-2 scoreline lasted just five minutes as AMOFA roared into action to retake their lead courtesy of a strike by Kumam Engo Singh.
Then again JSYC fought their way back into the game with a 38th-minute leveller from Akash Rai as the squads went into the second half tied 3-3.After the interval, it was AMOFA again who stole a march on their opponents after Samson completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute.
After taking a 4-3 lead, AMOFA withstood JSYC's onslaught for some 24 minutes until Mangginhao's third goal eventually denied them full points.
