Bpr 1st Div League : Anand double leads in UKCCL thrashing of GDC

Imphal, January 13 2019: Anand netted twice to help UKCCL, Oinam thrash GDC, Thinungei 4-0 today in a Group B league match of the ongoing 5th H Pishak Memorial 1st Division Football League organised by District Sports Association, Bishnupur at Mini Stadium Bishnupur.

Arunkumar, Anand and Santa Oinam scored one goal each in the first half to hand UKCCL a comfortable 3-0 lead while Anand found his second in the second half and completed the 4-0 rout.

UKCCL faced a stiff resistance from the Thinungei side in the earlier proceedings but their relentless attempts paid dividend in the 28th minute with Arunkumar taking a shot to break the deadlock.

Anand hit the second goal for the team two minutes later and Santa found the third the very next minute.

GDC tried hard to cut the gap in the second half but their misery compounded with Anand netting his second goal in the 46th minute and put UKCCL in the driver's seat.

Yesterday, CRESA and LFC played out a goalless draw in a Group A league.
