Imphal, September 10 2018: The 2nd edition of Kholmun Youth Men's Volleyball Tournament being organised by Kholmun Youth Club kicked off today at its ground in the presence of James Doujapou Haokip, SDO Toubul, Thanghem, SO, B Aijalon and Paokhokam Haokip, Chief of Gamphajang.

The opening (Group A) league match of the tournament witnessed United Friendship Club (UFC) clinch straight sets 25-15, 25-15 win over Molhoi Youth Club.

In other group A league matches staged today, Rising Club edged past United Friendship Club by 2-1 (22-25, 25-18, 5-15) sets.

Rising Club also beat Molhoi Youth Club 25-17, 25-20.In the first Group A league match, Blue Thunder pulled off a 26-24, 15-25, 15-9 win over Shining Star Club while Shining Star Club overcame DPB in straights sets (25-21, 25-18) .

Blue Thunder also secured a 24-26, 25-22, 15-8 win over DPB and sealed the quarter final berth.

In a Group C league match, Spiker Chiks got the better of Jankim Veng Youth Club 25-21, 21-25, 15-14 .
