TH, TWC clinch U-14 hockey titles

Imphal, January 09 2025: Thoubal Hockey and TWC clinched titles in the 4th State Level Shri Akoijam Ibocha Singh Memorial U-14 Boys & Girls Hockey Tournament 2024, following their wins in their respective final matches at Taobungkhok on Thursday.

In the boys' final, Thoubal Hockey triumphed 1-0 over TWC, with Rakesh Babu netting the decisive goal in the 23rd minute.

In the girls' final, YWC claimed a 1-1 (3-1) penalty shootout victory over MLHA.

After MLHA's W Yaijabi gave her team a 1-0 lead in the 3rd minute, YWC's Lanjenbi equalised in the 12th minute, sending the match to penalties.

YWC ultimately secured the win with successful conversions from Lanjenbi, Malemnganbi, and Jerina, capturing the girls' title.
