RYC, RFC, CYS register victories in CSDSA Sports Meet football

Imphal, January 08 2025: Riverland YC, Rung-chang FC and Chakpikarong Young Star secured victories in Wednesday's football matches at the 44th CSDSA Sports Meet 2025 at Chakpikarong playground in Chandel.

Angjoyhring scored a hattrick to guide Riverland YC to a 3-2 win over Unopat YC.

Angjoyhring roared into action, netting his treble in quick succession in the 7th, 15th and 22nd minutes.

Unopat YC's Beniwar responded with a brace in the second half, scoring in the 62nd and 74th minutes, but his efforts were not enough to secure a comeback.

In another match, Rungchand FC narrowly defeated Phunchung 1-0, with Kanlun providing the match-winning goal in the 54th minute.

Meanwhile, Chakpikarong Young Star triumphed over Salluk Youth Club in a penalty shootout folk owing a goalless draw.

In the shootout, Chakpikarong emerged victorious with a 3-1 win.

Beshingam, Luhman, and Khumhring Joy were all successful from the spot, sealing their team's progression.
