ICF claim All India Railway Basketball Championship crown

Imphal, January 07 2022: ICF (Integral Coach Factory), Perambur (Chennai) defeated Western Railway in the final of the 63f d All India Railway (Men's) Basketball Championship on Friday at NF Railway Sports Association stadium, Maligaon.

ICF registered a 74-69 win over Western Railway to win the championship.

Anto Bethle of ICF was named the best player of the tournament.

Winning and runner-up teams achieved their rophies in presence of Rajendra Prasad Jingar, president NFRSA and other dignitaries.

Northern Railway team bagged the third place after defeating RCF (Rail Coach Factory) by 71-65 .

A total of 248 basketball players representing 21 teams from entire Indian Railways and about 80 officials including referees, selectors, observers, coaches etc participated in the tournament.

Many reputed players, who represented the Indian national basketball (men's) team in many tournaments also took part in the championship, according to a press release of NF Railway, Maligaon.
