Imphal, February 04 2025: USA (Khurai) came through a tight tussle to grind out a 1-0 success against NESU (Khurai) in their Group A encounter in the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The decisive moment came early in the game when Thounaojam Suraj Meitei found the net in the 7th minute, delivering what ultimately proved to be the match-winning goal.

Despite persistent efforts from NESU to equalise, USA's resolute defence ensured they maintained their narrow advantage until the final whistle.

The team demonstrated commendable discipline and composure under pressure, successfully withstanding a series of attacking moves from their opponents.

The match was characterised by intense competition, with both teams displaying tactical awareness and determination.

However, USA's early breakthrough and defensive solidity proved decisive in securing the three points.
