RULE, Blue Hawk win big in Superplate Tournament

RULE and Blue Hawk recorded comprehensive wins in their respective Group A matches of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament on Sunday.
RULE pummelled PCC by 139 runs at Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground.
Asked to bat, RULE posted a competitive 225/7, with Jay Singh leading the charge, scoring 94 runs.
He was supported by Sanjenbam Suresh (38), Nongthombam Sarojkumar (26), Sanjenbam Ananda (19), and Leishangthem Bishorjit (13) .
For PCC, Naorem Johnson stood out from the rest, taking 3 wickets.
In reply, RULE's bowlers dismissed PCC for a mere 86 runs in 32 overs.
Leishangthem Bishorjit was the chief architect of PCC's downfall, taking a remarkable 5 wickets.
Nongthombam Sarojkumar and Jay Singh each claimed 2 wickets, while Sanjenbam Ananda contributed with one.
The only notable run-getters for PCC were Anjan Loitongbam (23) and Rohit Soubam (21) .
Blue Hawk, meanwhile, cruised to a 7-wicket victory over YUCC at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Batting first, Blue Hawk were all out for 178 in 34.3 overs.
Amom Guniram topscored with 42 runs, supported by Ningombam Jackiechan (33), Pradeep Singh (26), and Dp Saheer (15 not out).
YUCC's Somraj Laishram was the standout bowler, claiming 5 wickets, while Devraj Nongthombam and Ningthoujam Kenedy each took two.
In their chase, YUCC struggled and were restricted to 171 runs in 35 overs.
Kadamjit Moirangthem's valiant 68 was in vain.
Blue Hawk's bowling was led by Wakambam Samson, who claimed key wickets, while Semson Soibam added 2, and Pradeep Oinam and Amom Guniram each took one, sealing a comprehensive victory.
