BK Trophy : ETL, 11 Stars shine with win

Imphal, January 29 2015 : ETL Thongju and 11 Stars Lilong on Friday registered their win against their respective opponents in the BK Trophy 2015- the 6th State Level Open Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, which is being organised by Young Crickets, Bamon Kampu at Irilbung High School ground.

In a pool-D match of the tournament played in the morning, ETL Thongju defeated YC-1 Bamon Kampu by 87 runs.

After winning the toss, ETL elected to bat first and secured 170 runs with four wickets down from 15 overs.

But in its turn, YC-1 could manage to collect only 83 runs with all wickets down from 13 overs.

Yaima of ETL who scored 57 runs from 27 balls and took one wicket was declared man of the match.

In another match of the Pool-C played in the afternoon, 11 Stars Lilong turned out to be better than Shyam 11 Singjamei by defeating the latter by 87 runs again.

11 Stars won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 152 runs with 8 wickets down from 15 overs.

In reply, Shyam 11 could collect only 50 runs from 10 overs with all wickets.

The man of the match award was given to Anish.

He scored 7 runs from 3 balls and took 4 wickets in 2 overs.
