Plate tourney: NCA stroll to win over SDC as YWC down SU

Imphal, December 27 2024: NCA outplayed SDC by 5 wickets while YWC registered a 36-run triumph over SU in the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 on Friday.

NCA successfully chased down their target of 160 runs in 30.1 overs, losing 5 wickets, after restricting SDC to 159/6 in 33 overs.

Key contributions to NCA's chase came from Bobby Yumnam (36), Rk Rojeeson (31 not out), Pradeep Takhellambam (23), Roshan Konthoujam, Shinoj Khwairakpam (13 not out), Angom Robinhood (12), and Moirangthem Karamachand (12), while Nareshchandra Sanjenbam's 66 for SDC went in vain.

Earlier, NCA's bowling attack saw L Sadananda claim 2 wickets, and Chourjeet Rk, Daniel Rk, Amarjeet Rajkumar, and Angom Robinhood each took 1 wicket.

In the other match, YWC triumphed over SU by 36 runs, bowling them out for 150 in 23.5 overs.

YWC's bowlers were impressive, with Laishram Yaiphaba and Laikhuram Jagat taking 3 wickets each, while Sagolsem Mangalsana claimed 2 wickets, and Tongbram Donadoni and Nickel Loukrakpam took 1 each.

Batting first, YWC posted a total of 186/3 in 25 overs, thanks to contributions from Ashishkumar Wakongthem (44), Thoungamba M (41), Shitaljit Wangkhem (30 not out), Laikhuram Jagat (21), and Thokchom Milan (12) .
