Jotin Pheiroijam stars in Manipurs big win over Sikkim

Imphal, December 22 2021: Manipur recorded a comprehensive 412-run victory after bundling out Sikkim for 91 on the third day of their match in the Men's U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy on Wednesday at Vikash Cricket Ground, Bhubaneswar.

The state team, who declared their second innings at 334 for 2, produced some big knocks courtesy of Jotin Pheiroijam and Suresh Singh.

Jotin continued his brilliant form with an unbeaten 124 and Suresh finished with 108 not out.

RK Herachandra did his bit scoring 63 .

Then a lethal bowling display from Rojit and Jotin Pheiroijam made short work of Sikkim's batting order.

Manipur needed just 29.3 overs to bundle out their opponents for 91 as Rojit scalped five wickets and Jotin picked up four wickets to steer their side to en emphatic win.

Aziz Mirza also took a wicket for the state squad.

Earlier in their first innings, Manipur scored 327 for 8 and went on to bowl out Sikkim for 187 .

Jotin Pheiroijam made the most of the innings smashing 127 .
