National Thang-Ta Coaches' Training concludes

The National Thang-Ta Coaches' Training & Time Scoring Resulit (TSR) concluded on Friday at Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumiiam Huidrom, Imphal West.
The closing event was held with the presence of Ibotombi Khuman, international awardee, Huidrom Prennkumar Singh, president World Thang-Ta Federation, M Indrajit, lyrics & managing dlirector MIS & Son's Construction Supply and Thounaoj am Priyokumar Singh, former secretary Thang-Ta Feder ation of India, as chief guest, president and guests of honour, respectively.
This training programme was organised by Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur under the Thang-Ta Federation of India.
During the programme, the two Thang-Ta bodies jointly celebrated the 121st birth anniversary of Sintakpurel RK Sanahal.
Thang-Ta coaches from different states of India and officials from both the federation and association, and all the dignitaries paid floral tributes to Sintakpurel RK Sanahal as a mark of honour for his significant contribution to the promotion of Manipur's indigenous martial Thang-Ta.
Longjam Sophiya Chanu was felicitated by the Thang-Ta Federation of India and Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur for her gold medal in the 2021 International Martial Art Contest (online) organised by 2021 International Martial Arts Contest (online) Promotion Committee, and hosted by World Martial Arts Union (WoMAU) and 2021 World Martial Arts Masterships Committee under the patronage of UNESCO, Ministry of Cultre, Sports and Tourism, Chungbuk Province, Chungju City.
H Ibotombi Khuman, chief guest of the closing function expressed his extreme joy for introducing the digital scoring app for Thang-Ta Sports and said that this new technology will bring about intensive development in the field of Thang-Ta sports.
Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president of the closing function, stated that the Thang-Ta is recognised by the Khelo India but the recognition of Thang-Ta Federation of India is still pending due to many hindrances.
He urged the higher authorities of the state government to look into the matter seriously in the interest of the younger generation.
