PTCC, PTRC romp in 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy

PTCC and PTRC secured commanding victories in Wednesday's clashes of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2024-25.PTCC thumped Al-Ameen by 7 wickets at SEDOC Ground.
Al-Ameen opted to bat first but struggled to build a substantial total, eventually being bowled out for just 85 runs in 31.2 overs.
Najiya Begum was the standout performer for Al-Ameen, scoring 39 runs off 41 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to provide significant support.
PTCC's bowlers were in top form, with Sijapriyari Chanu Hijam leading the attack, taking 3 wickets for just 12 runs in her 7 overs.
Laishram Langlenthoibi Devi and Angoubi Devi Khundrakpam also contributed with 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In response, PTCC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 86/3 in just 14.2 overs.
Shrili Irom remained unbeaten on 16, while Ningombam Inakhunbi contributed a quick 14 off 19 balls.
Laishram Langlenthoibi Devi was the pick of the bowlers for AL-Ameen, taking 3 wickets, but it wasn't enough to prevent PTCC from securing a 7-wicket victory.
In the other match, PTRC overpowered FORCE by 8 wickets at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
Batting first, FORCE were bowled out for a modest 81 runs in 28 overs.
Rahamatun top-scored with 25 runs, while Ranjita Devi Koijam and Linthoingambi Chanu Laishram were the standout bowlers for PTRC (W), taking 2 wickets each.
Chingkheileima Chanu Mangsatabam was particularly economical, conceding just 1 run in her 5 overs while taking 2 wickets.
In reply, PTRC made light work of the chase, reaching 85/2 in just 11 overs.
Ranjita Devi Koijam was the star with the bat, scoring a blistering 46 off 35 balls, including 10 boundaries.
Loidangton Devi Thokchom provided solid support with an unbeaten 23 off 22 balls.
FORCE's bowlers struggled to contain the PTRC batters, with only
Sangomsumpham Sadiya managing to take a wicket.
