MPSC storm into Superplate final

Imphal, April 10 2022:
MPSC (Manipur Central Jail) pulled off a massive 9-wicket win over YWC (Langthabal) to reach the final of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2021-22 on Sunday at Model He Sec School & Oriental College Ground.
YWC opted to bat first and were restricted to 93/9 in 26 overs.
Ngangbam Bingson emerged as the lone bright spot for the Langthabal side in their innings.
Maibam Bijoykumar and Keisham Kennedy produced a brilliant bowling display for MPSC, equally sharing six wickets between them as Oinam Rojit and Sarangthem Shangker did their bit with one apiece.
MPSC then needed 17 overs to eclipse YWC's total.
Potsangbam Bonem guided his team to a huge semifinal victory with an unbeaten 54 off 49 balls, backed by a valuable contribution from Sagolsem Sunil, who scored 33 off 40 overs.
MPSC lost just one wicket in the chase.
Maibam Bijoykumar, who took 3 wickets in his 6 overs, was adjudged the man of the match.
In the final, MPSC will either play RULE (Malom) and KCC (Kongba) who clash in the second semifinal on April 15 at Model Hr Sec Scool & Oriental College Ground.
