ASSA thump RPU in Tbl Super League

Imphal, September 08 2022: Md Babur Rayan scored a treble as ASSA put 10 goals past RPU in the Thoubal Super Division Football League at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing on Thursday.

Md Sair set the tone for the rout with a 10th-minute opener and Babur Rayan doubled their lead in the 20th minute before Samir scored his second goal in the 27th minute and Rulish made it 4-0 in the 34th minute.

ASSA continued their scoring spree as Babur Rayan picked up his second and team's fifth goal in the 41st minute and an own goal by RPU's Mani further stretched ASSA's lead to 6-0 in the 54th minute.

Babur then completed his treble in the 58th minute as Asif found their eighth goal in the 65th minute before Yushup closed out the game in style with a double (76', 81') to see their side scoop all three point with relative ease.
