MPIIYA thump SLO 2-0 in Bpr 2nd Div League

Imphal, January 08 2019: A goal each half led MPIIYA, Moirang to a comfortable 2-0 win over SLO, Bishupur in a Group A league match of the ongoing 13th N Balanand Memorial Second Division Football League 2018 at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur, today.

Kh Suraj put MPIIYA in the front-foot scoring the opener early in the 9th minute of the match after a cautious start from both ends.

The Moirang side went on to press SLO for a major portion of the first half while SLO struggled hard to defend their citadel besides making few attempts to draw level.

L Siddhart of MPIIYA then took advantage of the deteriorating defence line of SLO and slotted home the finisher in the 51st minute.
