MNCA U-16 Cricket: AKSDO, RCA, YUCC, SSC script wins

Imphal, November 05 2024: AKSDO, RCA, YUCC and SSC all triumphed in their league round matches of 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 on Tuesday.

AKSDO inflicted a crushing 202-run defeat on.CDCC in their encounter at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

Batting first, AKSDO posted a formidable 236/6 in 35 overs, thanks to significant contributions from Gunachandra Khundrakpam (62), Saikhom Dinesh (39 not out), Md Ushmal Ali (26 not out), Chingamba Elangbam (27), and Bishwonath Moirangthem (20) .

CDCC's Misbaul Haque claimed two wickets, while Wasim Khan, Warish Khan, and Iquebal Korimayum each took one.

AKSDO's bowling attack then dismantled CDCC's lineup for just 34 runs in 19.4 overs, with Md Ushmal Ali and Bishwonath Moirangthem taking four wickets each, supported by one wicket apiece from Bidyananda Ningthoujam and Punshiba Akoijam.

RCA defeated AL-AMEEN by nine wickets at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).

After opting to bat, AL-AMEEN was restricted to a mere 67 runs in 19.2 overs, with only Maibam Ashique reaching double figures (10).RCA's bowlers dominated, led by Nawaz Sarif with three wickets, while Zuned, Md Albas Khan, and Md Irfan contributed two wickets each.

RCA chased down the target in 10.1 overs, losing just one wicket.

Md Anush led the pursuit with a quick 43 before being dismissed by ShohelAkter; Nawaz finished with an unbeaten 11 to secure the win.

YUCC emerged victorious over RULE by 85 runs in a low-scoring match at Lairen-jam Public Ground, Imphal.

Sent in to bat, YUCC managed 114 all out in 23.2 overs, with M Ricky top-scoring at 55 and N Reshan contributing 18.Kh Sanjaikar and Indrakumar Singh Sanjenbam led RULE'S bowling effort, taking three wickets each, while Ng Nongpoknganba and Denin Nahakpam took two and one respectively.

In response, RULE were bowled out for just 29 runs in 12 overs.

Rajbir Khumanthem was instrumental for YUCC, taking five wickets in his five-over spell.

Loitongbam Joychand and Shresth Oinam supported with two wickets each, securing a comprehensive win for YUCC.

Indrakumar Singh Sanjenbam (18) was the only notable scorer for RULE.

SSC clinched a narrow 10-run victory over TCMDC at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, Thoubal.

Batting first, SSC posted 116 runs in 22.4 overs, with Atif (30), Anish Lasker (17), Md Anash (12), and Nadir (12) reaching double figures.

Vishonath Laishram's four-wicket haul and Niraj Sarangthem's three wickets kept SSC's scoring in check, while Surchand Sapam, Di-pachandra Sagolshem, and Yumnam Tomthinnganba each took one.

SSC then bowled out TCMDC for 106 in 34.4 overs, with Anish Lasker claiming three wickets, Ruhan Bm taking two, and Altamsh Sheik and Sadique securing one each, sealing a hard-fought win for SSC.
