TCMDC, ESU script convincing wins in U-16 boys1 cricket

Imphal, February 03 2022:
TCMDC (Thongju) and ESU (Wangkhei) both enjoyed an easy day in the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys' Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 on Thursday.
TCMDC outplayed Blue Hawk by 6 wickets at Heinoupokpi playground.
The Thongju side opted to field and skittled out Blue Hawk for 139 in 26.1 overs.
Vishonath Laishram was the chief destroyer for TCMDC, churning out a lethal bowling display to scalp 5 wickets as Laishram Valindra did his bit with 3 wickets and Rain Urikhimbam took one.
TCDMC then eclipsed Blue Hawk's total, scoring 143/4 in 26.2 overs to close out the match.
In their run chase, Spolar Moirangthem top-scored with 38 and Rex Waikhom made 22.For Blue Hawk, Yumkham Rozas Roy, Spolar and Md Atif Shah claimed a wicket each.
At ABA Ground (Kshetrgao), ESU upstaged PTCC (Patsoi) by 7 wickets.
ESU won the toss and chose to field.
They restricted PTCC to 118/8 in 30 overs.
Chingakham Nikhil (48) was the highest run-getter for the Patsoi squad, with Srivinash contributing 27 .
In response, ESU achieved the target in 27.1 overs.
They lost 3 wickets in the process.
Hanjabam Naoba Sharma (34 not out), Sagolshem Ronal Meitei (21 not out), Gurumayum Reckson Sharma (21) and Hanjabam Donba Sharma were key run-getters in ESU's successful run chase.
For PTCC, Karnajit, Anao and Somobanta took a wicket apiece.
Earlier, Donba snapped 2 wickets as Simesh, Bishomcha, Naoba, Winson and Jenash claimed one each.
