NAPSA, LCCC win in Veteran T-20 cricket tourney

Imphal, February 01 2023: NAPSA and LCCC notched up wins in the Manipur veteran T 20 Cricket Tournament.

NAPSA registered a four-wicket victory against KCC.

They bowled out their opponents for 91 and then chased down the target in 18.2 overs with six wickets remaining.

In the chase, Premananda (19), Ratan (19) and Symon (16) scored in double figures to help their side seal the win.

NAPSA lost two wickets each to Sonjoy and Bonny while one each of their wickets fell to Janab and Dev Kanta.

Earlier, Symon shone with ball for NAPSA with three scalps as Puthiba and Ratan claimed two wickets each.

Ibobi and Bhigendro also got their names on the scoreboard for a wicket each.

LCCC, on the other hand, defeated Model Club by 25 runs.

The winning side set a 125-run target for their opponents after electing to bat.

They lost five wickets in the innings.

Satyajit was unbeaten on 29 while Gulsan scored 24, Rokesh made 17, Krishna earned 12 and Lalit contributed 11 in their innings.

In reply, Model Club came up short after they were dismissed for 99 in 19.1 overs as Suresh's 43 went in vain.

Krishna turned out to be the star performer for LCCC by racking up four wickets.

Akbar did his bit with two scalps while Jiten, Jilangamba and Sanjit bagged one wicket each.

Earlier, Saratchandra picked up three wickets and Iboyaima took two for Model.
