Kakching, January 29 2015 : Putting the curtain down on the sporting extravaganza attended by 23 teams, 7 Star, Thoubal lifted the trophy of 3rd Unapal Winter Cup-2015, organised by Unapal Sports Association at Unapal Village Playground in Chandel District on Friday by defeating SDO Pallel in the final.

7-Star, Thoubal defeated SDO Pallel by 4-1 goals in a tie break after both the teams ended in a goalless draw during the normal time.

In the closing ceremony of the tournament which was conducted just after the final match, the winning team 7-Star, Thoubal was honoured with the trophy and a cash reward of Rs 50,000 while SDO Pallel got the runners' up trophy and Rs 30,000 in cash.

The award for the best player of the tournament was given to Dhananjoy of SDO Pallel.

Ngamneiril of FC Jeru, Mantak was facilitated with the award of highest scorer of the tournament.

The concluding function of the tournament was attended by Secretary of South East Manipur College Ng.

Koshing Moyon as chief guest, SSA Teacher Ringneiril Chongom as functional president and BAP, President N.Dominic Shongshir as guest of honour.
