NAPSA crush YPHU, NCA outplay IBSA in Plate Tournament

Imphal, January 25 2023:
NAPSA were too strong for YPHU to handle while NCA beat IBSA by 51 runs in the MNCA Plate Tournament on Wednesday.
All-round NAPSA extended their lead in the Group A standings with a crushing 252-run defeat of YPHU at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Put in to bat, NAPSA produced a collective batting effort to post 309/5 in 40 overs courtesy of contributions Richard Kshetrimayum (68), Mitamnganba Chingtham (57), BijaykaranYumnam (55), Bipin Ningthoujam (42) and Laishram Electronic (23) .
The Kha Imphal side then followed it up with a superb bowling display to demolish YPHU's batting lineup in 20.4 overs for a
mere 55 .
Laishram Electronic's fiery bowling spell earned him four wickets as Nepram Richer impressed with three wickets, with Chingkhei Kshetrimayum and Bipin Ningthoujam accounting for one each to steer NAPSA to a massive 252-run victory.
It was NAPSA's six win on the trot.
Earlier, Amar Sandham, Niketan Maisnam, Sanjoy Mutum and Vedanth Ngang bam bagged a wicket each for YPHU.
Laishram Electronic was named man of the match for his 23 runs and four wickets.
NCA, meanwhile, notched up a 51-run win over IBSA in their Group B meeting at Oriental College.
Asked to bat first, NCA were all out for 231 in 38.2 overs.
In the innings, Moirangth-em Karamchand (45), Rk Rojeeson (37), Angom Rob-inhood (37) and Roshan Konthoujam (28) helped their side set a competitive target for IBSA.
In the process, NCA lost two wickets each to Pravesh, Rajababu, Manoj Sahani and Heromen Ningthoujam while one fell to Yengkhom Bhomendro.
In their response, IBSA came up short as they batted the full 40 overs to get 180/8 .
Heromen scored an unbeaten 79 and Rahjababu made 35 but their efforts weren't enough.
Amarjeet Rajkumar and Shinoj Khwairakpam shone with three scalps each for NCA while Chourjeet Rk and Angom Robinhood chipped in with one wicket each in their 51-run triumph.
Shinoj took home the man of the match trophy.
