Manipur crowned champions of 27th National Thang-Ta Championship

Imphal, December 22 2021:
Manipur were crowned team champions of the 27th National Thang-Ta Championship 2021 organised by Jammu & Kashmir Thang-Ta Association.
Manipur accumulated a total of 560 points courtesy of 140 medals they won over the course of the four-day competition to clinch the championship title.
The state team's rich medal haul included 101 gold, 15 silver and 5 bronze.
Jammu & Kashmir finished runners-up by securing 270 points.
They bagged 15 gold, 49 silver and 24 bronze medals.
A total of 21 teams from Tripura, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bangai, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Mizoram and Manipur took part in the 27th National Thang-Ta Championship that started on December 18 and concluded on December 21 .
The championship drew 621 players including 274 girls.
