Imphal, March 21 2018: Kaabil and Nishikanta today produced superb bowling performances to give KIYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal a 4 wicket victory against NAPSA, Kha Imphal in a Group A league match of the 4th MCA Plate Tournament 2018 being organised by Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.

NAPSA, Kha Imphal who won the toss and elected to bat first, had a dismal start posting a meagre 68 runs for 10 in 20.4 overs.

The batsmen of NAPSA could not withstand the bowling pace and length of their rival team today and had to leave for pavilion with scanty scores.

Mukul Sharma was the only notable batsmen on the side of NAPSA making the highest 22 in 43 balls.

Aditya also contributed 10 runs off 26 balls in this innings.

Kaabil and Nishikanta were unstoppable today registering 5 and 4 wickets in 5 overs and 6 overs respectively.

Abdullah who bowled 2.4 overs also claimed a single.

In response, KIYC reached the target in 12 overs losing 6 wickets.

Though Kingson of KIYC made a good start hitting 32 runs in 24 balls, Mukul and Chinglensana of NAPSA took their time to restrict the chase for a while both enjoying three wicket haul but KIYC managed to finish the inning with 4 wickets in the hand as the target was not much hard to go through.

Abdul Hamit also contributed 9 runs from 6 balls in the chase.

Kaabil was named man of the match for his exceptional bowling feat.

RRCC, Churachandpur will take on YWC, Patsoi tomorrow in a Group B league match at the same ground.
