Imphal, November 19 2023: The 123rd birth anniversary of Sintakpurel RK Sanahal was commemorated on Sunday at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West, by Huyel Lan-glon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, in collaboration with Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom, and Thang-Ta Federation of India.

The event was attended by Pukhrambam Bilash Singh, director (in charge) Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Sintakpurel Kh Dhabalo Khaba, advisor Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Associaton, Manipur, Manipur State Kala Akademi awardee & president Eastern Kala Vidya Thang-Ta Association; Nongmeibung; and Thounaojam Priyoku-mar Singh, former secretary Thang-Ta Federation of India, as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.

Many Thang-Ta gurus, instructors and players from Thang-Ta institutions of the state attended the event and paid floral tributes to RK Sanahal in recognition of his efforts to promote the Thang-Ta martial art.
