Biramangol College, Mayai Lambi College emerge MU Inter College Handball champions

Imphal, October 18 2019: Biramangol College were crowned women's champions of the Capt Sanoujam Ingo Singh (retd) & Sanoujam Ongbi Ayekpam Nalini Devi Memorial Manipur University Inter College Handball Tournament 2019-20 while Mayai Lambi College emerged men's champions.

Hosts Biramangol College earned the women's title by thrashing Waikhom Mani Girls College team 23-7 in the final match today.

Th Kabita made the most of the scoring with 8 goals in her name while S Roma Devi followed suit scoring 5 points.

Th Anjubati and K Sania also netted 4 goals each for the winning side while H Jenita added 2 goals.

O Ranjit, Kh Jenika and L Ashalata scored 2 goals each for Waikhom Mani Girls College as H Abesana earned a single to make it a total of 7 goals.

Meanwhile in the men's ultimate clash, Atomba topscored with 7 goals in his name while Sushilkumar and N Suraj made 4 goals each besides Momocha and Yaiphaba scoring 3 goals each to make it 21-11 past DM College of Arts.

S Manichandra also scored 7 goals in this match for DM College of Arts but his effort went in vain as his team mates, Chaoba, Nivash, Santosh and Priyobarta ended up scoring a goal each.

Th Kabita of Biramangol College and S Manichandra of DM College of Arts were also named as best players of the tournament.
