AKSDO, AMCA, RCA sail into MNCA Boys' U-14 tourney quarters

AKSDO, AMCA and RCA all earned a smooth passage to the quarterfinals of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25, following their respective pre-quarterfinal wins on Tuesday.
AKSDO crush THAU by 304 runs
AKSDO delivered a dominant performance, thrashing THAU by 304 runs at PTRC Ground.
Electing to bat first, AKSDO amassed 356/9 in their 40 overs, powered by Kh Korounganba's blistering 96, Borish Khudrakpam's 88, and Chingamba Elangbam's 65.Bidyananda Moirangthem chipped in with 29 .
THAU's Khundrakpam Bidyananda claimed an impressive five-wicket haul 5/52), but his efforts were overshadowed by AKSDO's relentless batting.
In reply, THAU collapsed for just 52 in 12.3 overs, with Chingamba Elangbam (4 wickets) leading the demolition.
Punshiba Akoijam (2) and Bidyananda Ningthoujam, Bidyasagar Khundrakpam, and Laishram Poirei (one wicket each) ensured a swift victory enroute to the quarterfinals.
AMCA overpower PTRC by 191 runs
At SEDOC Ground, AMCA posted a commanding 306/6 after being put in to bat.
Maibam Anish top-scored with 90, supported by Moich-ingmayum Md Yakin (52*), Khulakpam Fariyaz Kha (43), Hanif (25), and Mm Altaf (24*).PTRC's chase faltered early, skittled for 115 in 17.3 overs.
Sahid Khulakpam (3) and Moichingmayum Md Yakin (3) starred with the ball, while Md Wajid Khan (2) and Fariyaz Khan (1) sealed a comprehensive win on their way to the last eight.
RCA triumph over MPA by 122 runs
RCA secured their quarterfinal berth with a 122-run victory against MPA at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).
Batting first, RCA posted 209/7, anchored by Syed Sami ul's 83 and Albaz Hussain's 70.MPA's Th Chinglensana (3) and Chongtham Priyokumar (2) kept the scoring in check.
However, MPA crumbled to 87 all out in 22 overs during their chase, with Farhan Ahmed (4) and Md Irfan (3) dismantling the lineup.
Albaz Hussain and Albas Khan added a wicket apiece to complete RCA's emphatic progression.
