RCA, CYSA, NCA, VUCC triumph in MNCA Boys' U-14 Tournament

RCA, CYSA, NCA and YUCC notched victories in Sunday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25.RCA opened Sunday's action with a dominant 8-wicket victory against CDCC.
Electing to bowl first, RCA skittled CDCC for a meagre 62 in 17.5 overs, spearheaded by Nongjaimayum Masud Alam's superb 4-wicket haul.
He was ably supported by Albaz Hussain and Md Irfan, who claimed two scalps apiece, while Lucky Ahmed and Farhan Ahmed chipped in with one each.
In reply, RCA chased down the target in just 10.3 overs, losing only two wickets.
Opener Lucky Ahmed (7) and Albas Khan (3) fell early, but Sahed Ahmed's unbeaten 21* and Furhan Ahmed's 1* sealed the win with ease.
CYSA survived a tense chase to clinch a 2-wicket win over CCK.
Their bowlers set the tone by dismissing CCK for 64 in 16.2 overs, with Ningthoujam Abungcha (4 wickets) and Moirangthem Sanathoi (3 wickets) wreaking havoc.
Wangmayum Khursijafar (2 wickets) and Phundreimayum Soheb (1) provided crucial support.
Despite a shaky pursuit, CYSA scraped home in 13.3 overs, thanks to Laishram Denyson's team-high 19 and Phundreimayum Soheb's calm 5*.For CCK, Hidam Jibago starred with a 4-wicket burst but could not prevent defeat.
NCA triumphed by 38 runs after posting 128 all out in 22,4 overs against PCC.
Thongam Rahul top-scored with 34, aided by contributions from Leishemba Meitankeis-hangbam (15), Chanam Birendrakumar (13), and Ahenba Longjam (11) .
PCC's Rojer Laishram and Lamnganba Nongmaithem shared three wickets each.
In response, PCC crumbled to 90 all out in 19.5 overs, with Thiyam Bi-kash (5 wickets) and Ahenba Longjam (3) dismantling the batting order.
Rahul added a wicket to cap off a fine all-round display.
YUCC defended a modest 105 to overcome YAL by 18 runs.
Rajbir Khumanthem (46) and Shaan Soraisham (14) anchored YUCC's innings, though Thoiba's 4-wicket spell kept YAL in contention.
Chasing 106, YAL collapsed to 87 all out in 21 overs, with Jaheer (4 wickets), Mohd Alfash (3), Rajbir Khumanthem (2), and Shresth Oinam (1) sharing the spoils.
