YUCC, YWC win in Day 1 of U-16 boys cricket tournament

Imphal, January 15 2022: YUCC and YWC (L) both prevailed as the MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 kicked off on Saturday at ABA Ground, Kshetrigao.

YUCC opened the tournament with a comprehensive 176-run win over PTRC.

The winning side batted first and posted a total of 259 for 9 in 27.4 overs as Thoiba took centre stage with a blistering knock of 139 off 63 balls, followed bv Ricky (34) and Prakash (26).In reply, PTRC wilted under pressure and were bundled out for 83 in 23.3 overs.

Joyhenba was the pick of YUCC's bowlers.

He finished with three wickets as Rahulkumar, Lohitsun.

Prakash and Medhajit took a wicket apiece.

On the other hand, YWC (L) beat PCC by one wicket.

YWC restricted PCC to 97 for 8 and then they achieved their target in 23.3 overs with a wicket to spare.
