Sepaktakraw: State men's team reach quad event quarterfinals

Imphal, January 14 2025: The Manipur men's team advanced to the quarterfinals of the quad event at the 34th Senior National Sepaktakraw Championship in Telangana on Tuesday.

The men's team secured their place in the last eight by defeating teams from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar in their fixtures for the day.

They started with a decisive 15-9, 15-10 victory over West Bengal, followed by a dominant 15-13, 15-5 win against Uttar Pradesh.

The state team wrapped up their successful day with a 15-13, 15-6 triumph over Bihar, cementing their spot in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the women's team made an impressive start to their campaign, notching two wins in the squad event.

They began with a 15-8, 15-13 victory over Kerala and continued their strong performance with a 15-8, 15-10 win against Telangana later in the day.
