PAMYAL, THAU victorious in IW 1st Divn League

Imphal, August 12 2019: PAMYAL,Patsoi and THAU, Thangmeiband earned full points today at BMSC Ground, Taobungkhok in the ongoing 26th L Sangita Devi First Division Football League Tournament being organised by Imphal West District Football Association.

PAMYAL, Patsoi eased to a 2-0 win against NC Club, Khonghampat today riding on goals by M Lemba Singh and O Sanatomba Singh.

Lemba found the breakthrough in the 17th minute while O Sanatomba fired home the second and the last goal of the game in the 34th minute.

Meanwhile, Samson scored twice to help THAU, Thangmeiband produce a brilliant 4-1 comeback win against GC-CRPF, Langjing.

Jesie Lalnungthang of GC CRPF found the breakthrough in the 44th minute after the two sides went through a barren first half only to be equalised by Samson in the 66th minute of the match.

The equaliser gave a huge boost to the Thangmeiband side as they were in cruise control after the goal and it was Sanjit who overturned the advantage with a fine strike in the 74th minute before VD Imanual (75th minute) and Samson (79th minute) scored to wrap up the game 4-1 as the CRPF team failed to stage a comeback.
