IBSA outclass RRCC in Plate cricket

Imphal, August 09 2022: IBSA (Yumnam Leikai) produced an all- round performance to claim an emphatic 7-wicket win over RRCC (Churachandpur) in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Electing to bat, RRCC made 131 after being bowled out in 31.3 overs.

In the process, Lalboi Vaiphei (24), Louriyam Elan Sing (17), Abishek Sharma (16 not out), Thangkhopao (16), P Kamzamang Zou (12) and Rahul Kumar (12) were the batters who scored in double figures.

The trio of Karan Parjapati, Rajababu and Rajkumar Pritamkumar Singh picked up 2 wickets each and Kangabam Ramananda bagged 1 wicket for IBSA.

IBSA then took 22 overs to chase down the target with 7 wickets remaining.

Nongmeirakpam Komol Singh, who remained unbeaten at 73, guided his side to a comprehensive victory.

In the chase, Moirangthem Sunanda Singh was another key contributor for IBSA.

For RRCC, Pankaj Haz-arika claimed 2 wickets and Ningthoujam Shyamsunder Singh took one.

Nongmeirakpam Komol Singh was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 73.On Wednesday, YAC and KIYC will be in action at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium while SSU play CDC at Langthabal Public Ground.
