THAU win; MIUFC, KKYU split pts in IW 2nd Div League

Imphal, January 08 2025: THAU outplayed ESA 2-0 as MIUFC and KKYU played out a 2-2 in Wednesday's fixtures of the 12th Imphal West Second Division Football League 2024-25 at PAMYAL Ground.

Th Nikhil was instrumental in THAU's win over ESA, contributing both goals.

Nikhil scored the opener in the 42nd minute and adding a second in stoppage time.

In the other match, MIUFC and KKYU shared the spoils in a high-energy encounter marked by a dramatic second half.

Following a goalless first period, Naocha put MIUFC ahead in the 50th minute.

KKYU responded almost immediately, levelling the score in the 52nd minute.

Naocha restored MIUFC's lead in the 66th minute, but Gaithoichung's equaliser in the 72nd minute ensured both teams left with a point each after an intense contest.
