NAPSA outplay SSU to reach Plate Tournament final

Imphal, February 01 2023:
NAPSA (Kha Imphal) beat SSU (Singjamei) by three wickets to reach the final of the 7th MNCA Plate Tournament.
NAPSA produced a fine bowling display to end SSU's innings at 113 in 35.2 overs.
Thangjam Somorjit (28) was the highest run-getter in the Singjamei's innings, followed by Md Akip Russian (20), Shamurailatpam Deepankar Sharma (15) and Chungkham Gugu Singh (10) .
Heisnam Boney led the NAPSA attack claiming three scalps as Albert Sorokhaibam picked two, with Rocky Yumnam, Tongbram Dhanakuber and Bipin Ningthoujam accounting for one each.
The Kha Imphal squad then took 31.5 overs to complete the chase with three wickets to spare.
NAPSA's contributors in their successful run chase were Richard Kshetrimayum (22), Albert Sorokhaibam Premananda Ahongshangbam (12 not out), Tongbram Dhanakuber (12), Bipin Ningthoujam (11), Heisnam Boney (10), Laishram Electronic Singh (7) and Bijaykaran Yumnam (4) .
For SSU, S Deepankar Sharma snapped three wickets, Dingku G took three and Sougrakpam Douglas bagged one.
Heisnam Boney, who made 10 runs and took three wickets, earned the man of the match title.
AKSDO (Khangabok) and NCA (Ningthoukhong) will square off in the second semifinal on Thursday (February 2) at Oriental College.
