KIWT 2022: Moltinchan, Tintong enter volleyball finals, football league round ends

Kangpokpi, January 31 2022: Moltinchan Veng defeated Jonlhing Veng 25-06, 25-10, 24-25, 25-16 in the women's second semi-final match as Tintong Veng beat Jonlhing Veng in straight sets (25-16, 23-23, 25-14) in the men's second semifinal in the ongoing 18th Kangpokpi Inter Ward Tournament 2022 on Monday.

Ahsijolneng Veng will play Moltinchan Veng in the women's volleyball final while Tintong Veng will lock horns with Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound in the men's volleyball final on February 4 at Brigadier M Thomas Ground.

In the last quarterfinal, match of U-15 football, Or GG Crozier Mission Compound had an easy 5-0 win over defending champion Vengthah to book a berth in the semifinal round.

Blessing (7th, 12th), Kamgougun (26th, 34th), and Lunginthang (24th) scored for the winning team.

In the last league round matches of the main football, a 2-2 draw with Khupting Veng saw Ngambom Veng finish Pool-B runners-up with 8 points from four matches.

Satgoulal (7th) and Kaijang (34th) scored for the Ngambom side while Seibem (14th) and Seilenlal (17th) score for the Khupting side.

In another match, Kilkhong Veng defeated Tintong Veng 3-0 but both teams failed to qualify for the knockout round.

Thangminchon (14th), Lamgoulen (17th OG) and Semgoungam (19th) scored for the Kilkhong side.

In U-15 football, Ahsijolneng Veng, Nanglhun Veng, Enjakhup Veng, and Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound entered the semifinal round.

In veteran football, Jonl hing Veng, Kilkhong Veng, Ngambom Veng, Nanglhun Veng, Vengthah, Sipinthei Veng, Chengjapao Veng and Phungtin Veng were the quarterfinalists.

In main football, Jonlhing Veng, Ngambom Veng, Vengthah, Kholmun Veng, Enjakhup Veng, Phungtin Veng, Chengjapao Veng and Sipinthei Veng entered the quarterfinal round.

On Tuesday, Ahsijolneng Veng will play Nanglhun Veng in the first U-15 football semifinal match at 8:00 am.

In the quarterfinal matches of veteran football, Jonlhing Veng will play Kilkhong Veng in the first match while Ngambom Veng will play Nanglhun Veng in the third match.

In main football quarterfinal matches, Jonlhing Veng will play Ngambom Veng in the second match while Vengthah will play Kholmun Veng in the fourth match.
