RULE, Blue Hawk register third wins in 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament

RULE, Meitram and Blue Hawk, Khurai Lamlong posted third wins in Group A league competition of the ongoing 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25 .
At Model Hr Secondary School and Oriental College playground, RULE sealed their third win in 6 matches by crushing PCC, Mayaikoibi by 139 runs thanks to Jay Singh and Leishangthem Bishorjit.
Put in to bat first, RULE rode on Jay Singh's 101-ball 94 and contributions from Sanjenbam Suresh 38 and Nongthombam Suraj 25 to post a commanding total of 225/7 in the allotted 35 overs.
Leishangthem Bishorjit (5/5 in 7 overs that include 3 maidens), Nongthombam Sarojkumar (2/8 in 7 overs that included one maiden) and Jay Singh (2/20 in 7 overs) than ripped PCC line up apart to dismissed them for 86 runs within 32 overs.

For PCC, Naorem Johnson returned with the best bowling figures of 3/34 in 6 overs as four others picked a wicket apiece before they had a forgettable chase.
Only Anjan Loitongbam 23, Rohit Soubam 21 and Longjam Gibson 10 managed double digit scores for PCC in their dismal chase.
Jay Singh who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal, Blue Hawk pulled off a narrow 7-run victory against YUCC, Kwakheithel Moirangpurel for the third win in five matches.
Blue Hawk registered 178 runs for 10 wickets in 34.3 overs after electing to bat first before restricting YUCC to 171 for 7 in response to seal the narrow win.
Amom Guniram 42, Ningombam Jackiechan 33 and Pradeep Oinam 26 led the scoring for Blue Hawk today in the first innings that saw Somraj Laishram enjoying a fifer (5/39 in 6.3 overs) and the pair of Devraj Nongthombam (2/27 in 7 overs) and Ningthoujam Kenedy (2/24) sharing four wickets.
In reply, Kadamjit Moirangthem scored 68 off 89 balls but while Ningthoujam Sanjit 28 and Shyam 23 added 51 runs but their efforts went in vain as they ended up gathering only 171 runs despite having three wickets left to spare.
Wakambam Samson (3/39 in 6 overs) and Semson Soibam (2/14 in 5 overs) shared 5 wickets for Blue Hawk as Pradeep Oinam and Amom Guniram chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Amom Guniram who added highest 42 and picked a wicket was adjudged player of the match.
